Carers support and useful information

Support for carers

A carer is someone who provides unpaid support to a family member, friend or neighbour who could not manage without help because of illness, disability, frailty or addiction.

Caring for somebody can be rewarding, but it is also important to look after your own health and wellbeing.

How we can help

If you are a carer, please let the practice know so we can help ensure you receive appropriate support and information.

You may be able to access:

  • Health and wellbeing support
  • Advice about local services
  • Vaccination information
  • Flexible appointment arrangements where possible

Looking after yourself

Carers often spend a great deal of time supporting others and may delay seeking help for their own health concerns.

Please contact the practice if you need medical advice or support for your own wellbeing.
